yea... time to get some more work up. I'm bustin ass trying to get a 'folio ready for Marvel, DC, and Image so you'll probably see an abundance of new shit go up over the coming weeks.
I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do making it.
As always, critiques are more than welcome, and good ones are much appreciated. Just don't tell me you like it or don't like it... tell me why.
I look forward to getting some good feedback on this True Digital Painting style that I'm encorperating into my DarkDeco coloring style.
hmmm.... DarkDecoDigitalPainting... a mouthfull.
I've been using this term "DarkDeco" for a while now and just realized that some of you may not know what it is. DarkDeco was invented in the 90's with the Batman Animated Series on Fox (back when cartoons were good). It was created by changing the animation style to coloring on a black background, which gave the series the look that it had. Dark, harsh contrasts, ect. It also made the colors pop out more, in my opinion.
So I adopted this process into my comic book coloring and... viola. My DarkDeco style was born.
Now, since I'm doing true digital painting (by not using the inks in my final piece) (the piece is 100% digital) on a black background I'm calling it... DarkDeco Digital Painting.
Hope that makes sense. It does in my head anyway...
